Southfield, MI – RSM Development & Management, a leading regional real estate firm based in Southfield, Michigan, is pleased to announce that Scott Marcus, co-founder and Principal, has been named to the Crain’s Detroit Business 2013 “40 Under 40” list. The list recognizes the region’s highest achievers in Southeast Michigan who are under 40 years of age.



Scott began his career as a Real Estate Attorney at Maddin Hauser. In 2000, at the age of 26, he co-founded RSM Development and Management. Now, 13 years later, the company’s real estate portfolio’s value exceeds $100 million and surpasses one-million square feet with a 90%+ average occupancy rate. He holds a Juris Doctorate in Law from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Michigan. “I am honored to be named to this list and look forward to what the future holds for RSM,” states Mr. Marcus who attributes his success to strong relationships. “This honor is one I share with my Partner, Richard Shapack, along with the entire RSM team who has contributed to our stability and growth throughout the years,” states Marcus. Scott is also actively involved in the community serving as Vice President, World ORT - Michigan Chapter and as Board Member and Head Coach in the Birmingham Hockey Association. He was also a recipient of the NAIOP Developing Leaders Award in 2007.
